MEarth Celebration

The good news is that the rate of extinction can be slowed, and many of our declining, threatened and endangered species can still recover. We need to work together to build a united global movement of consumers, voters, educators, faith leaders, and scientists to demand immediate action.

If you don’t know her, learn about Rachel Carson. She set out to save a species… us.

5 Things you can do to make a difference

  1. Adopt a cause. Pick a California endangered or threatened animal or plant and take an action to protect. Don’t forget bees, monarchs and snowy plovers.
  2. Get political. Participate in or support a movement that embraces nature and its values.
  3. Adopt a plant based diet (At least join Meatless Monday!)
  4. Stop pesticide and herbicide use
  5. Don’t pollute
